20 JAN – 2006 AL AIN DVD ENQUIRIES

For information, Haute Voltige Productions were not involved in the filming of the 2006 Al Ain Aerobatic Show.

We request that all enquiries regarding the footage and / or DVD production of the 2006 event be sent directly to the Al Ain Organiser.

14 MAR – CROSS ROADS OR CROSS WORDS?

Are you upset because you have been betrayed, copied, and destroyed by jealousy? One solution, fight against the spirit of gravity, not with anger, but with laughter.

Haute Voltige will always be where people don't expect us to be.
See you after the vernal point!

16 MAR – WANT TO KNOW MORE?

Please do not misunderstand our message dated 14 March, there is no bitterness.
All will be revealed when Haute Voltige Productions (yes, we are also editors!), release their new book (French only for the moment).

What is it about?
A surprise, starting with aerobatics, ending where you cannot guess except if you are aware of poets and "cacozelia latens"...
... or if you "know" why this book is published on 25 March 2006, because you have already received an "initiation".

Here is an indication:
25 + 52 = 77
2006 + 6002 = 8008 and 80+08 = 88.
You don't understand what it means? Even if I say March = 3?
Be patient, more clues will come as additional layers are added to help you over the next few days.

The vernal point is approaching!

18 MAR – ROCK AIR MUSICAL

"Dreamings" was our first air musical. It was made especially for children and had an original music score composed by Almadrava.
Then came "The Call of the Skies" with the high octane jazz of Lily Horn is Born.
Next will be "Metal Angels", a "progressive" and "rock" creation of Almadrava. No story, just flights to music and lots of emotion.

25 MAR – A NEW TYPE OF AEROBATICS

Tested in French only.

APRIL - JUNE

12 APR – VIRTUAL HAUTE VOLTIGE

Our next event will be a display by the Virtual Haute Voltige Team at the 7th Flight Simulator Show to be held in Forli, Italy 06 - 07 May.
The team will submit an event report and photos which you will find here on our latest news page immediately after the event.

In the meantime, the VIRTUAL HV section of our website will be "off the air" while it goes in for an "engine overhaul".
The section will be back on-line as soon as the reconstruction is completed.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.

02 MAY – HUMMINGBIRD: RADIO CONTROLLED MODEL TAKES OFF

The “Hummingbird” aircraft design by Philip Carter has captured the imagination of those searching for a new style of aircraft with maximum manoeuvrability and today, there are several groups developing scale and semi-scale “Hummingbird” radio controlled models.

Patrizio Bronzi of Italy has successfully completed and test flown his electric-powered model version. This model is the first known example of the Hummingbird Configuration on any scale, to have flown.

11 MAY – STRIKE CAUSES CANCELLATION OF THE VIRTUAL HAUTE VOLTIGE DISPLAY

Due to the Italian state railways strike, the Virtual Haute Voltige Team could not reach Forli on time and therefore had to cancel their participation in the 7th Flight Simulator Show held last week-end in Forli, Italy.

24 MAY – TURNING BASE

We are in our last round of discussions for our 2006 events. It is clear we do not wish to produce top pilots in events which are not ready for the highest level of competition, or which cannot afford investing a minimum of communication to give value to all efforts involved.
It is more and more difficult to accommodate spectators who wish to attend a show nearly free of charge, organisers who meet problems in securing sponsors who do not aim at "family picnic" targets, and sports aviation communities still working with passion on a volunteer basis while the basis of volunteers is dramatically shrinking.

Only military displays can be an answer, free of charge thanks to public taxes. But should air shows be reduced to a marketing tool for Air Forces?

We all know the question, to be or not to be... In that field, like for television, the answer is the public audience. So, should not aviation professionals change their state of mind regarding public entertainment and have a new "vision"? We have been, and we still are, trying hard. But we are small, so small...

Many thanks to Marco Cova "Shark", for all his hard work in revamping the Virtual Haute Voltige Team pages.

OCTOBER - DECEMBER

01 OCT – BEST OF HAUTE VOLTIGE

The DVD "Best of Haute Voltige Vol. 1" contains spectacular footage of an accident in Japan (end of 2003). HV would like to precise this DVD was released only after the pilot resumed his career with international aerobatic competition.
Therefore, we are quite pleased to inform you that Alexander Krotov was back to the European Aerobatic Championships in September 2006, and ranked among the top 10. This is a happy ending to a dramatic story.

07 OCT – CHANGE TO PILOT LINE-UP AT MOTEGI

Early August we announced that Svetlana Kapanina would replace Klaus Schrodt who had withdrawn from the event due to aircraft problems.

Everyone made a concerted effort to prepare Svetlana's aircraft in time and her aircraft was dismantled, packed into the container and left Moscow for its’ journey to Twin Ring Motegi.

Unfortunately, the aircraft only got as far as St. Petersburg, where it was blocked in customs and missed the last vessel to Japan.

Despite all efforts to find another aircraft, none were available and Svetlana has had to withdraw from the competition.

We have made a complete loop, as Svetlana will be replaced by Klaus Schrodt as Peter Besenyei has offered his second aircraft (an Extra 330L) for him to fly during the competition.

23 OCT – COUNTDOWN TO MOTEGI

The final preparations are well under way for the 2006 Haute Voltige Aerobatics Japan Grand Prix to be held at Twin Ring Motegi.

Aircraft from Russia, England, Hungary and Czech Republic have been arriving at Tokyo this past week and will be delivered to Motegi once customs formalities are completed. Pilots and technicians will start aircraft reassembly on Friday 27th.

Besenyei, Bonhomme and Jones, Chmal, Kairys, Mamistov, Mangold, and Schrodt will then practice their aerobatic programme during the following week to provide you with the state of the art competition.
